Jefferson Center is pleased to offer vaccines at our Blue Spruce Pharmacies available weekdays Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. No appointments are needed please walk into either location. We are distributing the Bivalent Covid vaccines Moderna (ages 18+) and Pfizer (ages 12+), in addition to Flu shots for ages 5+. All vaccines for those less than 18 years old are administered at our West Colfax location. Boosters and additional vaccine doses are available for those who meet the current ACIP and CDC guidelines.

Studies show that COVID-19 vaccines remain effective in preventing severe disease. Recent data suggest their effectiveness at preventing infection or severe illness wanes over time, especially in people ages 65 years and older. The recent emergence of the Omicron variant further emphasizes the importance of vaccination, boosters, and prevention efforts needed to protect against COVID-19.

The CDC recommends that anyone who is eligible, and who received their initial vaccinations more than 5 months ago receive a booster dose, which is available now at Blue Spruce Pharmacy. Booster doses, which are administered when the initial immune response has waned over time, are also available with eligibility to get a booster shot 8 months after you have received the second dose of those vaccines.
