Mobile Medication-Assisted Treatment

Jefferson Center’s Mobile Medication-Assisted (MAT) Treatment brings MAT to people who experience substance use disorders and are unable to get to a traditional brick-and-mortar treatment facility.
Mobile Medication-Assisted Treatment

Mobile MAT is a grant-funded initiative provided through Jefferson Center that is designed to help assist and serve those ages 16 and older that are struggling with opioid and other co-occurring challenges.

You can reach the Mobile MAT team by calling 303-432-5390.

What Is Mobile Medication-Assisted Treatment?

Substance use disorders are treatable, and Jefferson Center is here to help. Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) has proven to be the most effective treatment for opioid addiction, combining medication to stave off the physical symptoms, withdrawal, and cravings, with counseling to help patients address their emotional and behavioral issues associated with addiction.

As an expansion of Jefferson Center’s existing substance use disorder services, the Mobile MAT program provides access to MAT for treating opioid use disorders for people who are unable to get to a traditional brick-and-mortar treatment facility. In addition, it provides connections to Jefferson Center services including senior services, wellness services, and community outreach programs such as suicide prevention trainings and Mental Health First Aid.

CAS Counselor
“Hello! My name is Calley Krauss. I was born and raised in southern Colorado. I must admit, even from a small age I always knew I wanted to be in service of others. Later, it was made clear who I wanted to help. My heart had been touched by addiction. Addiction has affected me throughout my entire life. In fact, I have been on both sides of the table. It is a pleasure and a real passion for me to be able to help those who are in the throws of a hard battle. I am constantly growing personally and professionally in this field. I love it! In my “real” life outside of JCMH, I love being Auntie to my 2 nieces, dancing, and enjoying the best laughs.”

Registered Nurse
“Working in the Public Health has been my honor for most of my nursing career. I have a passion for serving underrepresented populations and working on innovative ideas for serving communities that have an unmet medical need. Expanding my knowledge of addiction and mental health is a challenge I am whole heartly embracing. I am proud to be a native Spanish speaker and being able to close the language barrier for clients needing translation services. My public service work has been with populations experiencing homelessness, hunger insecurity, and providing off-site vaccination clinics in low-income school districts. Most recently I’ve been in the front lines giving COVID-19 shots and COVID PCR nasal swabs at mass distribution sites. My self-care activities include working on puzzles, making quilts, and making art with water coloring pencils.”

Improving Community Health

Providing access to these services right within the community is fundamental to achieving broader service coverage and meeting the needs of high-risk and underserved populations. Through comprehensive services and medical care options, the MAT program will contribute to improving the health of individuals and the overall health of the community.
The Mobile Health Unit is NOT equipped to respond to emergency medical situations. If you need emergency medical help, please call 911 or visit a hospital.
